Headshot test

Eh, exactly what it says on the tin folks. This is just me practicing human heads, was well as trying to add texture to skin. The result was a bit... Less than desireably to me, to say the least. I don't think the whole 'colored outlines' thing works with humans. Think I'm just going to dump that in my drawings from now on.

One thing I do like though is how he has a more defined chin, as opposed to his 'shield chin' I gave him in his ref art. Eyes are a bit creepy though. Seriously need to find a new way for drawing eyes with humans. The 'giant anime' style doesn't really work too well with them.

The yellow parts are also suppose to be the sun reflecting off of him, as opposed to using pure white like my past drawings. Didn't really work too well, though. Do like how the cheeks came out though.

Background was lazily thrown together just to have one, in case you can't tell.

Long story short: there are things I like about this, and there are things I don't.
